Airport Finish Line

Yes the gate at the airport is the finish line! Why does it feel like making it to the airport is like reaching the end of a race?  Because after a marathon of prep and planning you just want a refreshing drink and to lay down! Today’s been a whirlwind of last minute tasks like baking a carrot cake, carrot cupcakes and a couple potatoes. Why all the root veggies? — I had a bunch of carrots in the fridge I’d meet meaning to eat all week and finally got around to using today. One of many tasks on a long checklist that I ultimately made it through before departing. 

This blog is about about making time for the things that are important to you and challenges of making that a reality. Clearly I procrastinate and now I’m wondering if I left the oven on… oh well. Next trip I’ll be better. 😬
