It’s happening… Dhaka!

What a day?! My flight leaves in 1.5 hours (at the time of this writing) and I’m safely at the gate. This time headed to Dhaka, Bangladesh! And still… even though I didn’t have work to distract me, I still managed to be squeezing things in at the last minute!

Last minute shenanigans:

  1. I served at church and attended 2 services. I felt compelled to stay and glad I did! After a women’s conference the day before it was moving and powerful to continue the same with the same energy into the next day.
  2. I set up a new phone (with a better camera) which I should have done earlier in the week but for whatever reason… didn’t. Took a while to clear the old phone, restore it, then sync it with the new then transfer the new number 😅 I think it’ll be worth it for the photos. iPhone 13 has a better camera than 11.
  3. Washed 3 loads of laundry, took my trash to a random dumpster, showered, made a run to drop off a package for UPS, ate and finished packing. I grouped all these together because they were all absolutely necessary. But I really need to do better and stop waiting till the last minute. And of all the places I chose to eat, this one was super slow. I think I waited at least 15 min…turns out the chicken I ordered was the only dish prepared in the back and not out on the trays on display behind the glass screens. 🙃
  4. Set up an AirTag… for some reason I thought this would have been hard. But I literally did this on the ride to the airport. Shoutout to my friend who waited patiently for me as a scrambled to get out of the house!

Here are all the things I didn’t do:
  1. Pack a mask… the last time I traveled internationally I didn’t get COVID but ended up really sick with a month long chest cold… so trying to avoid that. Of course I have 500 masks at home and not one came with me in my new backpack smh. The year before though just headed to Chicago I did return with Covid and couldn’t go on an international trip the following week sighhh::: so trying to avoid that. I just bought a mask at the airport.
  2. Plant seeds… yes I was really supposed to plant lettuce and some other leafy veggies in my little  above-ground box in the yard. I don’t know why I thought I’d be able to fit that in.
  3. Download some Udemy tutorials while on WIFI at home … maybe I’ll get on airport WIFI to do that.
  4. Hand sanitizer and hand lotion… purse switching problems…
Seeing that I’m not worried about leaving the oven on like last time … I’d say I’m in good shape! 🙌🏾 I’m looking forward to this next round of adventures and hope to sleep well on the flight.

Although a lady is angrily hollering and just walked past my gate, looks like she’s with her mom::: she’s still hollering. Just said a prayer for her. Looks like she is on my flight. After a few minutes now, walking away and back she’s calmed down a bit. All’s well.

Making one last bathroom run to put on my hoodie (only have on a tank top under my denim jacket) and decided I shouldn’t draw any attention to myself amongst the women who are covering.  Before and after below… like my fit? lol

  1. What a busy morning, Thank God the stove wasn't left on. So the women's conference, what was your take away? That is so cool to have your own garden especially since organic seems the way to eat. Sorry to hear the change of purse, that seems to me you were super focused on the big things. Man , I definitely don't want you to be , with that month long challenge with any symptoms. #InJesusName

  2. Wow , so no seat cover for that 😳. That is very interesting. I wonder do they have things for people who can't squat 🤔. I love seeing humans living a life of helping each other. Totally refreshing. The abstract art 🎨 very I would say , the meaning of life in the morning for me
