Peaceful City
Today we went to the city of Udaipur. Immediately after arriving there was a sense of tranquility. The airport is much smaller, less bustling, and more fresh air! I had a feeling this would be the icing at the end of this India trip. Udaipur is one of the old capitol cities in India with many palaces and forts of the mahranas (kings) dating back to the 1500s. 10 years ago I visited another similar city called Jaipur in Rajasthan which was also quite beautiful in a similar way.
We arrived at our hotel which looks a palace itself and after checking in went to the restaurant across the street where I enjoyed a cauliflower veggie dish with naan. I could already tell that today would be what I needed. After a long night at the ball (we stayed till the last song and the lights came on!) I was ready for some R&R.
