Thanksgiving Day 2 of 2

Yesterday, we had a 2nd Thanksgiving dinner at our house! We spent most of the day in the kitchen again and until just before guests started arriving. This time most of the guests were from my aunt's team at work. Again it was so interesting being around several Americans living abroad. Many for 15+ years and Bangladeshis who gave me their take on the current political situation. It seems unlikely that there will be a fair election in January according to the sentiments of many Bangladeshi. But, a few months after the election things should settle down again.

Again, I had lots of great conversations ranging from politics, to fashion, novels, travel, work, recipes, etc. The topic that intrigued me the most was travel and working abroad! Everyone who had visited Sri Lanka highly recommended it and gave some suggestions on places to see including a tea factory and train ride from Kandy to Ella. I'm really looking forward to my trip which starts tomorrow, Sunday.  So I'm packing and wrapping up a few things that I want to finish before heading out.

Tonight, I go to a Bangladeshi house for dinner and I'm really looking forward to the food and convos again. My aunt and all her friends have been so kind to me this whole time! 💛

Side Note: If your deviled eggs ever struggle to come out of the shell, try deconstructed deviled eggs.  I did some googling and found this idea... Serve with crackers or instead guests can eat on small plates with a fork. Voila!
