Trying to Board a Plane

I’ve had a long week and today is shaping up to be a long day but I’m hoping I can spend most of it catching up on sleep. 

This is what I did yesterday and how much it cost, thought I’d leave that there in case you’re interested. I’ll link to each location so you can read more if interested. 

1. Ambuluwawa Tower - 1,000 LKR
2. Botanical Gardens - 3,000 LKR
3. Kandy City 
• White Buddha - 300 LKR
• Temple of the Tooth - 2,000 LKR
• Kandy Viewpoint - Free
• Kandy City Center Mall -  Free
• Cultural Show - 2,000 LKR

And after I got back to the hostel and finished packing for my 1AM departure to the airport, at approx 18:47 UTC, 11:47 PM local time, a decision was made to cancel my flight according to flightstats.com. However, I never received an email from Sri Lankan Airlines or Travelocity. I did get emails from them about checking in and upgrading though…

What was supposed to be a 3 hour flight back to Dhaka arriving around 11:30AM will be over 12 hours with a connecting flight in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for 5 hours. It would have been a 6 hour layover but my first flight has already been delayed an hour. I’m on the plane right now at least though and writing this post is distracting me from the wailing crying toddler twin brothers and other uncontrollable circumstances. 😐
