Exhausted…. But rest is coming!

It’s 4:54 AM and I’ve been so tired for weeks. I should have gotten to the airport much earlier I think and I went to international instead of domestic. I’m tired of being tired for sure. I’m grateful I’ll be going to Guyana and at the same time feeling like I don’t want to travel again anytime soon. It’s just too much and I’m tired of thinking all the time.  I’m praying lines are not super long this morning and I’m able to board when I need to. I do need to check my bag and thankfully I have TSA precheck so that should help. I’m exhausted 😩 my Uber driver said it should have been the domestic terminal but since I googled and saw international terminal I thought it was right. The point is I’m exhausted and I guess I’m not exactly thinking clearly… just praying everything goes smoothly this morning because I have a short layover in Miami before I get on the flight to Guyana. 🙏🏾 

Almost one hour later and I’m at my gate! Thank God! Both of my bags were selected by TSA for investigation… lol never happens. I was thinking about how I never used to get stressed at the airport. But these past few months have just been draining. I’m looking forward to a break even though I didn’t finish all I wanted to finish before travel. I was supposed to be on this same flight yesterday and because of a delay I rebooked for the next day. But here I am and payed extra to sit at the front in case I need to run to my connecting flight. I may even do an old school thing and read a book with paper pages on the plane!!

And now another hour later the plane is here but I’m not on it haha!  But I’m reminded by the statement on my hoodie … “Good things take time”… and all I can do right now is wait. So might as well lean into that. 

That’s the plane and no one is on it. American is experiencing a “System Outage”… so here I am waiting. I should probably start reading now. Or maybe try to book with another airline… idk. 

11:34AM now in the last leg of the journey. Now in Miami waiting on the crew to arrive before we can board. Been giving the necessary parties the play by play all day plus a few extras. The flight is now full, Guyanese accents all around… almost there…

One hour later… I’m on the plane ✈️  it’s happening filled my landing card and everything. Now ready for a nap! Apparently we have two celebrities on the plane TJ from Jamaica and King Mandela from Guyana… will have to Google them lol Byeee 👋🏾
